Hilary Michaels, R.N., M.S.N. Vice President of Quality and Standards
Specialty Hospital of Central Jersey
As vice president of quality and standards, Hilary Michaels, R.N., M.S.N., oversees all aspects of quality, regulatory and accreditation standards, and clinical policy operations for AcuteCare Health System, including Specialty Hospital of Central Jersey. She has extensive experience in licensure, program planning and development, and management. Prior to her current role, she served as executive director of Specialty Hospital at Kimball, where she was key in the development, implementation and daily management of ACHS’s second long term acute care hospital before its consolidation in 2013 into Specialty Hospital of Central Jersey.
In her more than 25-year health care career, Michaels has held a host of director and leadership positions in acute care, including serving as an administrative director of nursing finance and staffing. She also has been a program planner and director of outpatient ambulatory programs specializing in diabetes, wound treatment and hyperbaric medicine. Michaels received a baccalaureate degree from Radford University, Radford, Va., and a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Va.
