Chief clinical officer Judy Boccellato oversees all nursing and patient care services at Specialty Hospital of Central Jersey, serving as an integral member of its multidisciplinary team. With more than 30 years of experience in nursing and medical technology, her professional expertise and clinical strengths enhance Specialty Hospital’s commitment to quality patient care and patient satisfaction. A registered nurse certified in critical care since 1993, Boccellato previously served as associate professor and interim clinical lab coordinator for the accelerated bachelor of nursing program at Jersey City University, Jersey City, N.J. She also has held a host of teaching and clinical positions in critical care, including two at Community Medical Center in Toms River, N.J. — director of the Congestive Heart Failure Department, which she developed and implemented, and director of patient care.
Bocellato received an associate’s degree as a medical technologist from Felician College in Lodi, N.J., and in nursing from Ocean County College, Toms River. She also earned her bachelor of science degree in nursing from Bloomfield College, Bloomfield, N.J., and a master’s degree in health systems administration from Seton Hall University, South Orange, N.J. She holds certification in advanced cardiac life support, basic life support and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. She is a member of the Critical Care Nurses Association and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing.
