Specialty Hospital of Central Jersey
Social worker Kelly Ann Cox-Montalban, M.S.W., serves as a member of Specialty Hospital of Central Jersey’s case management team, which ensures patients and families receive needed support through hospitalization to discharge. She also assists patients and families with identifying appropriate services in the community. Cox-Montalban, who joined Specialty Hospital in 2004, was a mental health therapist and school social worker — two roles that incorporated her skills in providing family, group and individual therapy, facilitating divorce support groups, and handling crisis intervention and resolution.
Prior to that, she was a social worker for Applewood Estates in Freehold, N.J., where she helped residents and families cope with making the move from independent living to residential and nursing home placement. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in social work from Georgian Court University, Lakewood, N.J., Cox-Montalban earned her master’s degree in social work at Monmouth University, West Long Branch, N.J.
