Lucille Famulary is director of patient satisfaction at Specialty Hospital of Central Jersey, serving as a liaison between patients, family members and health care team members. In addition to ensuring that patient needs are met and that the highest level of patient comfort is achieved, she serves as the voice of families, focusing on communication and sensitivity during their loved one’s stay.
From 2005 to 2013, Famulary was director of business development for AcuteCare Health System (ACHS), responsible for establishing new partnerships with physicians and other health care providers. In that role, she also collaborated with other members of the ACHS management team, clinical staff and board of directors in developing long-range business strategies and identifying new opportunities for growth.

 

Before joining ACHS, Famulary held several positions at Monmouth Medical Center, the Long Branch, N.J.-based affiliate of Barnabas Health, including manager of patient satisfaction, community liaison/patient advocate in its Emergency Department and volunteer services coordinator. Additionally, she spearheaded the creation of the patient advocacy program at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold, N.J., and spent seven years as vice president of executive recruitment for investment banking for Rand Thompson Consultants, New York.
